Let me psychoanalyse this piece:

Tommy is looking up at Philza’s statue - the first close up of eyes is the eyes of the statue. Looking forward, while Tommy is looking up, stuck in the shadow of the Emperor

The crest is inspired by the polish crest of Ślepowron

The nether star - because it belonged to Kristin, I sketched it looking like a part of woman’s jewellery. Something you can imagine a woman wearing

Then you have theseus looking at it, kinda mirroring the statue; just like Phil he’s looking forward, but instead of seeing anything around him he’s focused on only one thing (his revenge basically)

The last close up is Ranboo’s eyes. He’s looking down because he’s looking at Tommy, but Tommy is placed above him as a way to show that Ranboo’s not *looking down at him* (in the derogatory sense)

In the last two panels you can see Theseus’ childhood. The butterflies symbolise childhood, innocence and kindness; they’re touching him; in direct contact with him.

And when you look up, Theseus’ older self is also surrounded by butterflies - but never directly interacting with them.

Theseus getting the villain arc he absolutely deserves 👏

I love the guy he’s just- ehhhhhh

I really want him change but I don’t see it happening very soon. The problem he still in the toxic environment with nothing to grab to pull himself out

He’s drowning but by his own will I guess- he saw people jump fall into the water slowing getting pulled along,nearer and nearer in till he was on the edge watching as almost all of his love ones are either in the water drowning or on edge just looking. so he trys to save them in the process falling in, he could grab the edge and pull himself out of water but he’s still grabbing people and trying to pull them out but he can’t but after a while of being stuck he doesn’t even have the power to pull even himself out so he sinks just looking at the surface looking at all the people at edge he can’t stand it so he looks away, he looks away from everyone even the people in the water just sinking. in till a hand reaches out to pull him out to save him he after a while of just staring at the hand grabs it but in the end it was just an weight pulling him deeper and deeper

Theseus was too focused on how the salty water was filling lungs, too focused on breathing, too jealous of people on the surface that he didn’t look he didn’t see just how many people were drowning with him
