CALLING ALL PINAYS and ALLIES...

Background and Purpose:

March is Womyn's Herstory Month and to celebrate, I want to create a video that acknowledges the Pinay with all my family, friends, and community. I wrote a song titled "Pinay" because I was frustrated with the media's misrepresentations of womyn, particularly Asian womyn. This song is inspired by all the pinays I've come across: mothers, educators, students, domestic workers, etc.

How to Get Involved:

- Submit a video clip of you and your homies dancing and singing along to this anthem/love song dedicated to those who identify as Pinay. You don't have to be pinay to submit a video, EVERYONE IS ENCOURAGED TO PARTICIPATE! Have fun and be creative.

- Please send your submissions to [email protected] by March 2, 2014 (Sunday). You can attach the video to the email (if it doesn't exceed the limit), upload it to youtube and share the link or you can send it through a file-sharing website such as dropbox, hulkshare, or google drive.
