I have a HC that Danny at some point in his life had to wear braces in his mouth...If adolescence only made him suffer more with his cat fangs and he had to wear braces, I feel that he felt insecure about them and hated them, Everything sticks to them and to them...and Vlad when he saw Danny with braces just smiled happily encouraging him
"You will have a beautiful smile!"
"Shut your mouth!!!"
I also think Vlad wore braces in his youth so he understands Danny completely and tries to keep him safe by telling him that he won't judge him, (They end up kissing and Danny now has another insecurity: Will I kiss badly with braces? ...Vlad's tongue got stuck...It is very effective in preventing me from putting it in my mouth)
I think Danny with braces is super-cute, especially since we don't typically see hero/main characters with corrective dental equipment.
Of course, it would be a grievous oversight on my part not to mention Mosscherub's Braces, which is one of the first Pompous Pep fics I ever read 😈 If you like the idea of Danny with braces (just as Vlad clearly does lol), you'll probably like this!
