Ok so, the fable ship bracket voting poll....

I've said that "Kaleidoscope and Prison Duo need to have a 'we meet again' in the semi final"

Which - one thing lead to another - and I thought it'd be funny if the ships were personified and at voting debates, so our propaganda would be their arguments etc....

So here's my visual on that (basically morphing the two characters designs together)

Here's the versions that I did up to design what they look like...

So as mentioned, to make them, I fused the two characters together.

I'm also taking name suggestions!

So for Kaleidoscope, I gave them long curly white hair with scattered rainbow highlights - in this I tied it up, similar to how Malitae wears it. I gave them Malitaes horns, lots of colourful earrings and some horn rings. I also added a head jewelry pieces, that comes from Midas' circlet. I remember Malitae having "calcite skin" so I made them super pale, almost white, like calcite and some magenta/ purple sclera eyes.

I didn't have much on what Malitae would wear, but in the photo on their wiki, they have a nice, lose hanging piece, so I had Midas' jacket appear lighter and off shoulder - and instead of having a tie-dye gradient look, it's paint splatters. Under shirt that also doesn't cover the shoulders, corset and black pants and boots with a magenta shimmer to them

For Prison Duo - it was actually kinda tricky colour pallets wise - I combined Icarus' jacket with Centross' cloak and made it one of those jackets you hang off the shoulders (not actually put your arms in the sleeves) I shifted the purple in Ics jacket to a more Violet (like Centross' cloak), his amethyst necklace + their pins. Black fingerless gloves and shirt and jeans, also boots with a more Violet tint to them.

I gave them an undercut, the top has a bit more of Icarus' style to the fringe and shaved underneath. Icarus' ear wings, but again the purple shifts more to a Violet. The purple and yellow heterochromia + black sclera. Scruff! I also connected Ics prison scar to Centross' scar across his eye, so it curves around the face.

Small headcanons:

Kaleidoscope is mute and communicates through imagery, text or sign language. Number 1 shit-stirrer, little chaos gremlin.

Prison Duo: bird allegations (but also in the way that "this bird will bite")

This was actually a fun little challenge, so I might do more? For funsies?

More Bracket AU designs! Hear me out edition/j (Cause I'm procrastinating)

We got Wet Birds, Adventure Duo and I was *supposed* to do "Project post retirement" (Ulysses and Vorago) but looked up the wrong character for reference, so we got Ulysses and Len😅 (the reason I didn't add any written notes to them, was cause I can't remember if this ship is 'on the table' or not? If so, ship design, if not, simply just a character fusion design!)

Adventure Duo, my beloved

I really love the salt and pepper look for the hair. I'm not sure why I chose to have the braids and half tie up design, I just think they'd look really good with the hair tied up. Trying to fuse Will's suit and Caspians more casual fit was interesting. I wanted to add the little arm bands thing that Will has on in S2 cause I think they... look really nice-

Wet birds!

Also salt and pepper hair, (though not as much as Adventure Duo) Split sweater vest + pins! Ripped jeans and converse, very smart casual

For a headcannon, I can imagine them and Bracket!Raetross working well if they decoded to team up. I can see B!Wet Birds being messily organised?

Ulysses + Len design

(Again this one was accidental, and I didn't realise till I was done😅) but I still like how the design came out! Some of Ulysses fish features, I imagine webbed fingers and feet (yes, he isn't wearing shoes) Selective mute! White sclera eyes and tusks! Tried to combine Lens button up with Ulysses V-Neck, so opened button design

I thought it'd be odd if I did up an AU about people competing against each other with no host to be updating us on what happening + coordinating the whole thing!

So I did a little concept piece of @fable-non-canon-ship-bracket , the account themselves!

Naturally, I didn't have a great deal to go off of, but I know I wanted to give that "faceless anonymity" vibe. And put them in a suit as I imagine they're like a Host for the whole event, almost news reporter energy. Gave a hoodie to help hide their face!

Their pfp is a rainbow with Fable characters, so I wanted to keep the rainbow and also use Tumblrs blue colour in there too!

My personified concept for Raetross and Ariboo!!!

Raetross! The guy!

I love the purple and black! Centross' scar is a line if Ender markings! Purple ender eyes! Eye of Ender clasp for his cloak! Long black hair that's tied back!

Ariboo!

"She was a fairy"/ref

Horn/branches that give off blue and pink flowers! Soft yellow wings! Shaven side of the head + I shifted the blue of Aris hair so that's its more of a dusk blue (since momboo was described to have sunset orange hair!) Prebby pink dress, and long filly socks with cute blue flats!

Small headcanon:

Concept!Raetross gives me leader/soldier? vibes, definitely using analytics and research to help his campaigns

Concept!Ariboo is giving fun wine aunt. She seems really gentle and nice (and she is) but she can get aggressively passionate

So I've been thinking,

With me "personifying" the Fable ships, for the Non-Canon Brackets, I'm going to put them in a tag called "Bracket AU" or "Fable Bracket AU"

For some more context:

With the Ship Bracket happening, I thought it'd be fun to personify the ships (which is basically combining the characters' features) to have a silly visual of the ships themselves going head-to-head in the voting!

Combing the characters, in general, is actually a fun little character design challenge! And to keep them all together in a tag, ill be putting them with the "Bracket AU" tag

I also want to note that I'm designing them to be their own entities! So for example, if I say "Kaleidoscope is mute" that's not me saying: "Midas and Malitae are mute". It's the fusion concept I have for them, Bracket!Kaleidoscope is mute!

Yes, some headcanons and traits come from the characters (which is the point) but for headcanons and AUs sake, they are their own beings!

I'm also open to name suggestions so we don't have to say Bracket![ship] lol

Just wanted to leave this little 'disclaimer'!
