What is WJF's new Brackets for Good Campaign?
It's official Brackets for Good, the single-elimination, bracket-style fundraising competition, has tipped! The tournament is modeled after the NCAA basketball March Madness tournament, except it has nothing to do with basketball.
In this 3 week bracket style tournament two participating DC non-profits compete head to head each week to see who raises the most money. Every dollar raised during a round is a point, and at the end of the week the non-profit that scores the most points gets to move on. At the end of the tournament, the last non-profit standing wins the championship --$5,000. We have the opportunity to triple the impact of every dollar raise through a matching grant of $ 5,000 from our founder, Chuck Dell.
We hope that you can support us with your dollars to win the overall championship. We are fundraising to enable early-stage innovative impact entrepreneurs to receive the support and mentorship they need to generate large scale social and environment impact and achieve sustainable growth. We only have 5 days to edge out our competition in this round!
The William James Foundation takes on DCAYA this week in round one. They have already started some good natured banter and threatening to throw elbows. Hope they know that friendly competition is what we do best. Let's do this! Hope you are ready to help us support the next generation of social entrepreneurs.
Please contribute to the William James Foundation through the Brackets for Good website.
