Fine-tuning the Image of Gays in Hollywood: An Open Letter to Amy Pascal

In your recent speech at the L.A. Gay and Lesbian Center you said, "We need to create an atmosphere that encourages people to speak up, so we get this right." This letter is me speaking up, with the hope that we can get this right.

Sounds intelligent to me: "... I look forward to a time when people can be 'incidentally gay,' but the queer commonality between these artists actually serves as a great example of how focusing on sexuality, instead of making it incidental, gives us an important perspective. ..."

I realize this was posted last May, but I am JUST NOW on Tumblr. So I'm sharing things. Hmm. You might all get tired of my sharing after a while ;)
