my doctor is absolutely no help, for a year i have been telling him about my brain burning. it tool him this long to finally test me for mercury poisoning with a blood and saliva analysis, negative. i am not out to him as autistic. could this simply be an autistic sensory experience? my head (or like i feel it, brain) has always burned for as long as i can even remember.
It’s possible, especially if this is something you’ve always experienced. It might be that you’re more aware of certain sensations, or you process them differently to other people.A quick look on google seemed to suggest that it’s a common feature in anxiety (I have experienced this sensation in relation to anxiety) and also some medications.I wonder whether this could be classed as dysesthesia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dysesthesia ?However, it looks like there are lots of possibilities. Followers, any experience with this?- Ben
