I've been thinking about carmilla saying "I stopped them from taking Laura here" and "I told you I'm not the hero of this piece" and I'm sure she doesn't consider her actions to be heroic because she thinks they're selfishly motivated and therefore don't count. Like she did try to deter the other girls but she actively stopped them from taking Laura because she's gotten way to attached to the tiny human. Ugh and then with the comforting!!! I don't, my brain is not functioning right now - more on this later! Sidebar I was considering signing up to the carmilla holidays thingy but I doubt my ability to write these guys so it remains just an idea...for now.
