Easter weekend

Update from the life of me!

Carolan had a nice little bit of time off over Easter and we took full advantage of it! Friday we spent in Dublin with her mum shopping. Carolan bought me 2 harry potter shirts, 3 marvel shirts and batman tracksuit type bottoms (I'm certain I've mentioned before that I'm spoiled!) Saturday we had friends round for drinks. Sunday we had Easter dinner with our family then took nova on a play date with our friends Sharleen and Anna's puppy Dexter. This is going to become a weekly thing because dexter came from a shelter and he's quite nervous especially on walks and since nova is so good on and off the lead I figure walking together will help dexter out! Monday was a beautiful sunny day so we piled in the car and took a family roadtrip to carlingford where nova had her first dip in the lough! She actually loved it! Tuesday we wrapped up with a nice walk round our lovely local park and a yummy dinner! This was all just a bit too much on my hip and I've been rolling around crying for a good hour because it just hurts so bad! :( I'm getting mighty fed up with this! In other news nova got her summer cut today and is currently not speaking to us!

I have to say building a badass fire give me a real sense of accomplishment and the feeling of being able to provide. I keep telling carolan is we were cave people or there was some kind of apocalyptic event I would clearly be able to provide for us since I can make a bitching fire! Carolan keeps telling me that she's too warm and to stop with the fire!

Gone are the days of spending St. Patrick's day working in or drinking in a bar! Instead we were grown up and took the doggy to Clare Glen for a walk and came home to have pizza and watch movies! It was a great day with my favourite girls! :)
