Question for anyone on the autism spectrum

What do you guys think when news outlets or media etc says the brain can be fixed and rewired and changed and say it can fix Parkinson's disease, other deadly medical conditions and then they say autism. I think this is total bullshit and they act like it needs a cure.... My dad is beliving that shit and in fact he's actually listening to that podcast right now. But to make matters worse I feel comparing a disorder with diseases is just albiest to me... (I also have Asperger's so I wanna know what everyone else thoughts on this?)

What an emotionally exhausting day 😔 George's snatching food got out of control and he bit me hard enough to require butterfly stitches. The whole thing scared Geoffrey as I yelped loudly and I had to immediately leave them be to show George he had something wrong (and to do first aid) and I didn't want to play anymore but it meant I didn't get to calm Geoffrey down, and I felt terrible for it. Their pain is my pain, their stress is my stress. I spent an hour just being anxious and on edge. I just want them to be happy 😔😔😔
