Think I figured out an angle for the Destiny project I've been thinking about for ages now: lore maps.
Reading the lore is fragmented and honestly, prohibitively intimidating. In-game and on Ishtar, both require some prior knowledge of the text to find anything *in* the text, and even then searching keywords is like panning for gold sometimes. We have all sorts of tools for the game itself like DIM, but not much specialized in the way of lore. So I want to create an archive not just of lore, but of connections between lore entries, artifacts, and our experiences as Guardians in-game.
So if you read something about Cayde and he references Ace, you can then go find the arc of that specific branch of Cayde's story and see how it relates to what you're reading. Pointed references to another text could directly link there, and big unanswered questions or topics could give prompts on vestigial connections to explore. So not a timeline, and not a database, but a sort of pallate of constellations that show how the larger whole connects. And maybe those entries could even be saved into a "playlist", packaged, and shared. This could help folks explore the lore in their own way, research videos and posts, or make meaning by specific arrangements and bundles of entries.
I also just think it would be incredibly fun to play irl Cryptarch, just tending to the lore garden behind the scenes and adapting the connections as we come to understand more.
