Nah I doubt it. Branded is specifically and only from a beorc and a laguz having a kid. There were other kinds of brands in Tellius and that's how a lot of branded hid by pretending to be one of them.

IIRC descendants from such a union carried a brand as well, but yeah, there’s also the folks with spirit pacts that also had brands (hell, Pelleas’ wholeass thing was based on the whole ‘several reasons to have brands’ thing), so that makes sense.

i think it only qualifies if the person has dragon like attributes at the very least like...the pointy ears or scales in some places

hrmmm, I think tellius branded don’t have that, but maybe I’m remembering wrong

I MEAN personally zel sees like chrom's and even alm/celica's brands at first and immediately assumes they're branded if that helps any? i think theyd just assume it at first and then need it explained more

That’s fair too, there’s leeway for some characters from tellius to mistake families w blood pacts with branded, especially without knowing heritage. Zel is branded as well, so him jumping immediately to that conclusion is completely reasonable.

Today had been a difficult battle, especially for the general. They had known that his resistance against magic wasn’t the best, and yet the wind mage on the field posed a threat to both Zelgius and Berkut. But the fact that dragons were also about made it more difficult as Berkut would have been the only one that could deal with the dragons.

They hadn’t realized that the wind mage in question had a fully powered blade tome.
