Salma Hayek, as most of us know, is a famous Latina & American actress. In 2011, she launched in 2011, but was pulled out. It then got relaunched in 2016. You can know more about their products here – Nuance by Salma Hayek

I got introduced to this brand when my office mate started selling cosmetics from USA, and this was one of the brands he offered. I got curious with the brand, so I ordered some.

Here are the products I purchased & the published claims & ingredients:

True Color Moisture Rich Lipstick, Babies Breath Pink – Smoothing and line-filling formula leaves lips feeling moisturized and fresh with infused Peppermint Oil.

Flawless Finish Velvety Smooth Pressed Powder, Light – Argan oil soothes skin and helps restore moisture as it protects against free radicals. Ultra-fine powder lets skin breathe and helps even and smooth complexion for a natural, lasting matte finish.

Flawless Finish Naturally Luminous Concealer, Light –  Tepezcohuite helps tone, condition and smooth skin while the anti-inflammatory Ginger Root helps reduce the appearance of redness and helps improve evenness for a healthy-looking glow. Blends perfectly to disguise dark circles for an even, seamless and naturally luminous finish. Side note: Tepezcohuite or Mimosa tenuiflora is a perennial tree or shrub native to the northeastern region of Brazil and found as far north as southern Mexico, and the following countries: El Salvador, Honduras, Panama, Colombia and Venezuela. It is most often found in lower altitudes, but it can be found as high as 1,000 m (3,300 ft) (Source: Wikipedia)  

Here are my thoughts – Concealer:

Price: Retails for $10.99 in their website, got this for free together with the face Powder. Physical: Placed in a pen-like container, with a pump mechanism to dispense a product. It has a soft sponge tip applicator. It took me several pumps before I was able to have the product dispensed. You need to shake it a few times for the product to be mixed properly inside. The concealer has a light consistency with medium coverage. There are a few creasing after 3-5 hours of wear time, needs re-touch ups.

Lipstick:

Price: Retails for $9.99 in their website, got this Php350.00 from an office mate who sells products from USA. Physical:  Well-packaged, comes in bullet-type form. The shade can be seen at the bottom of the product. Sheer/satin lipstick, moisturizing, peels off dead chapped skin, completely removed after eating. Needs retouching.  Full pigmentation in 1 to 2 swipes. The swatch gives off a Baby Pink Shade but upon application, it gives off a pale pink shade.

Face Powder: Price: Retails for $11.99 in their website, bought this for Php300.00 from an office mate who sells products from USA. Physical: Comes in matte black plastic casing, with a clear plastic cover in the center where you can see the shade color of the product. It has no mirror nor powder sponge applicator which makes less convenient to use. Light to medium coverage, matte finish. Needs re-touch up after 3-5 hours of wear time.

And, here is my FINAL VERDICT:

Pros:

All the products used from this brand has a light – medium consistency which does not feel heavy on my face. It’s good for daily use.

I bought these for a very cheap price, it’s all basically a BARGAIN!

The lipstick has a peppermint after feel which is good for the lips, as well as it’s very moisturizing and softens dry chapped skin.

The products are build-able as well.

Cons: 

These are not available in Philippines.

These are quiet expensive if you buy from their website.

The powder lacks a mirror and an applicator. This can be an issue to those who want more convenience and prefer to just bring a compact powder with a mirror and applicator on the go.

The concealer needs to be shaken and pump a few more clicks upon first try. I even thought it was broken.

Will I buy these again?  Maybe, but for the same bargain price! Hehe. I would like to try on more shades from their moisturizing lipstick and their liquid lipsticks as well.
