Durante l'ARFestival 2019 la Sergio Bonelli Editore ha annunciato interessanti novità sulle trasposizioni cinematografiche e televisive dei suoi personaggi. Nasce il Bonelli Universe.

Wait for the Bonelli Cinematic Universe blasting its way with Dampyr in October! 🤩
Dampyr is an italian production with a budget of over 15 million dollars based on the comic series "Dampyr" published by Sergio Bonelli Editore and tells the story of Harlan Draka: an half-vampire (a dhampir) who hunts down vampires and undeads. The story's set in the SFR Yugoslavia in 1992 during the Yugoslav Wars and adapts the first two issues of the series that came out in 2000.
Dampyr's been shot in Romania and entirely in english with an international cast, starring Wade Briggs as Harlan Draka and David Morrissey as the antagonist Gorka among others, and it's gonna be the first of a number of movies and tv shows based on Bonelli's legendary characters!
The movie's gonna premiere on 28th October during Lucca Comics and Games 2022. Still no news of an international release but I'm pretty sure there's gonna be one (of course there's gonna be, I don't think the producers have any expectations for a movie like this to do good in Italy 😒).
I'll most definetely be in cinema for Dampyr. Even though I don't read the comic (not because I don't like it, I've read some issues and it's great, it's just I'd need two lives to read everything! 😅), but everytime someone has the balls to do something different in Italy they must be supported at all costs!!! And by the trailer, it looks great!
If Bonelli put the same care in this movie they put in comics, than the Bonelli Cinematic Universe has a bright future ahead!! 😃

Fabula Pictures (Un'estate fa) e Brandon Box (Dampyr) hanno raggiunto un accordo con Kodansha, che ha dato il via libera per una pellicola sullo storico wrestler, creato da Ikki Kajiwara e Naoki Tsuji.
Il film, a quanto pare, sarà ambientato fra il Belpaese e il Giappone.

Ambientata al Cimitero Monumentale di Milano, Gli Abiti del Male è la nuova web serie prodotta da Brandon Box- casa di produzione specializzata nella realizzazione di contenuti per il web- e MYmovies.it e distribuita in esclusiva da Yahoo! Italia.
Otto puntate di 8’’minuti, live a partire dall’8 maggio su Yahoo! Screen, Gli Abiti del Male racconta le avventure di sei ragazzi - Angelica, Zoe, Elisabetta, Ivan, Luca e Vittorio - al confine tra vita terrena e l’aldilà, un thriller appassionante con sfumature gotiche che coinvolgerà gli utenti nelle vite dei personaggi, in un crescendo di suspense e colpi di scena.
Milano e i suoi dintorni diventano un set inedito che rende ancora più forte il contrasto tra vita reale e vita ultraterrena. Il cuore dell'azione si sviluppa tra le tombe di uno dei più affascinanti cimiteri del mondo, un museo a cielo aperto dall'atmosfera sospesa e suggestiva: Il Cimitero Monumentale di Milano. Intorno a questo luogo è costruita la storia, tratta da leggende medioevali e richiami danteschi, ma ambientata nella Milano dei giorni nostri.
Il cast di attori è composto da giovani talenti, provenienti dal teatro, diplomati alla Scuola di Teatro Paolo Grassi di Milano, o dalle produzioni cinematografiche indipendenti. IL TITOLO
“Gli Abiti del Male” è un’espressione utilizzata da Aristotele per definire i sette vizi capitali. Secondo questo libro le forme che il male può assumere sono per l’appunto sette, ogni forma si riferisce ad un vizio capitale. Ogni vizio capitale viene ricollegato ad un demone differente. Zoe, una dei protagonisti della storia, sta facendo una tesi di dottorato incentrata proprio su questo misterioso libro...
LA STORIA
Angelica, una ragazza milanese particolarmente viziata, capisce di essersi persa tra i viali e le lapidi del cimitero Monumentale, e scopre di non essere sola. Incontra così Vittorio ed Elisabetta, anime di un’altra epoca che cercano maldestramente di comprendere il segreto nascosto nell’anima di Angelica. Mentre il gruppo comincia a formarsi, Luca e Ivan, i due guardiani del cimitero cercano di acchiappare le anime vaganti per spingerle nell’aldilà. All’appello ne manca soltanto una, quella inquieta di Zoe, una dottoranda in teologia che sta cercando insistentemente la chiave per spogliare il Male di tutti i suoi abiti…
