Brandon: Um… Sorry for the question, but – is Cynthia okay? I sensed she was a little nervous last night. Terence: She’s fine, safe and sound at home, and in Davy’s care, as she should be. Now, can I take a look at your house? I want to make sure you’re all settled in. Brandon: Oh, of course. Please come in.

As Terry starts walking towards the entrance, Brandon keeps thinking about Cynthia. Is she really going to be all right? Terry is pretty rough, heavy-handed and he was very angry that night. Not to distrust him, but he’ll have to check on Cynthia later.

Meanwhile, Terence makes a quick inspection of his brother-in-law’s house to make sure everything is up and running.

Terence: Yeah, everything looks in order here. It does look like a real home. Brandon and Sandra are a good match, and Sandra takes very good care of her children. Cynthia could benefit from spending time with her. I’ll have to invite the Langeraks over more often.

Terence: Hey Brandon, how was your day? Brandon: All in order, boss. Terence: Come on, you don’t have to call me boss all the time, that’s only at the casino, you know, for appearances sake; but otherwise, I’m just Terry, your brother-in-law. Brandon: Thank you, boss, I mean, Terry.

Terence: Now, please tell me everything that happened at the police station last night. Did you make sure that Cynthia’s offense was not registered? Brandon: I made sure of it, don’t worry. Terence: Good. What about Mr. Claremont, did you offer him what I told you to drop the charges?

Brandon: Yes, he dropped them all as soon as he saw the amount on the paycheck. Terence: Ah, I knew that weasel would do anything for money. Brandon: Yep, everyone in Lucky Palms knows how greedy and self-serving he is. Terence: Well, I’m glad he got it right the easy way. Should he come back for more, we’ll have to make him understand the hard way, if you know what I mean. Brandon: Understood and noted, boss - sorry, Terry.

With Brandon and Sandra came their daughter, Cindy, a rather precocious teenager, with a taste for getting into trouble, just like her father.

The Langeraks are just arriving in Lucky Palms and the restless Cindy is already giving her parents and high school teachers some headaches.

Surely, she gets her rebelliousness from Brandon, the only Langerak with a questionable behavior, and a fickle character, which, in turn, he inherited from his mother, the rebel of rebels, Becky Lack.

Not so with little Cain, Brandon and Sandra's youngest son, who despite his name, is an adorable well-behaved little guy. Cain loves to go for walks with Sandra, who also enjoys hiking - when/if the sun isn't too hot of course, after all Lucky Palms is a desert.

Just as Tyron prepares to leave the stage, he notices Madeline staring at him. Does she want to tell him something? Hopefully not, facing his rival’s wife would be rather awkward.

As if that wasn’t enough, Jasper’s daughter Julie is there too, accompanied by Milton Langerak’s wife, Samantha. Also present are Aunt Misty, and Brandon Langerak, whom Terry sent from Lucky Palms to check that everything was in order after the divorce. Too many familiar people, Tyron takes a few sips of water to make himself feel less overwhelmed.

And now Julie is looking at him like this? Is she flirting with him? That would be the last straw. Tyron can’t help but wonder, does she know what his father did? There’s no way she doesn’t, Hidden Springs is a small town, it all gets out there sooner or later.

The party has begun! Deanne, the babysitter, never does her job, but today she decided to monopolize Davy and take him herself to blow out the candle on the cake. Cynthia didn't seem to mind much, but Terence wasn't too happy.

(This is one of the things that annoys me about the babysitters in this game, sometimes the parents can't get close, this time not even on their own child's birthday). 🙄

Anyway, the Chos celebrated and cheered Davy on, accompanied by Brandon. We don't know why his wife Sandra and daughter Cindy didn't come. My sims' birthdays never turn out as expected, lol.

The animation picked up when Jaycen arrived. Too bad he didn't bring little Stephan, the son he had with Lina Lancaster, and of whom he is in charge. Yes, Jaycen is a single father.

The time is near! Davy was already put down, you know, as it should be done with every little birthday boy. 😆

Now we will make a small pause to remember and re-introduce Brandon Langerak, Terence's right-hand man. Cause Jaycen Hendrix is his administrator at the casino, but Brandon is in charge of the other kind of 'business'. He arrived in Lucky Palms just a few days after Riley Woods made her appearance.

Brandon always wanted to be a musician like his father, the famous singer Kurtis Langerak, but his troubled nature led him to meet his first boss, Bert Alto, for whom he worked until Bert stopped being boss and Terence took his place. Brandon and Terence hit it off right away, and soon he became his right-hand man. Now, at Terence's request, he has left his hometown, Hidden Springs, to move permanently to Lucky Palms.

Brandon brought with him, of course, his wife, Sandra Eastman, who is just starting out in the culinary career, she's currently in Level 2, Spice Runner.

While eating their cake, Terence and Brandon discuss business. Terence is upset because of Riley. Terence: So she didn't settle for just the job, huh? Brandon: No, she keeps calling me at all hours. Terence: Pass the calls to Jaycen. Branden: I did, but she won't talk to him either, she insists on speaking to you in person. Terence: Damn.

Meanwhile, on the floor, Davy is playing with one of his gifts, a rag doll given to him by some a distant aunt or something.

He seems to have taken a great liking to the doll. Terence: What the hell? My son is a boy, he will not play with dolls, not on my watch!

And that was all for now about Dale and Kelly at the University. Next week we will return briefly to Lucky Palms for Davy's birthday. 😊🥳
