A man faces murder charges after police claimed they shot and killed an employee in the lobby of a popular Miami Beach hotel on Friday after he was denied entry to the nightclub. Miami Beach Police said the shooting happened just after midnight at the Clevelander Hotel at 1020 Ocean Drive. Officers responded and found a man with obvious gunshot wounds in a pool of blood in the hotel lobby. The victim was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center, where she later died.

Suspect Identified
According to witnesses and hotel surveillance footage, the suspect, 29-year-old Brandon Burris, attempted to sneak into the Clevelander nightclub through the hotel lobby, the report said. Brandon Kortez Burris is charged w/ 2nd degree murder. Authorities say he shot and killed an employee at the Clevelander Hotel in Miami Beach. Incident Details
The two had a verbal argument and at one point Burris punched Moore, which the report said he missed. Moore began to back away and at that moment Burris pulled a gun from his belt and opened fire on Moore, who was shot more than six times, according to the report. Burris escaped the scene on foot but was found by agents in the area around 11th Street and Washington Avenue, the report said. According to the report, a gun was in his belt when he was arrested. North Miami native Burris is charged with second-degree murder with a gun. The lawyer's information was not available.
