The idea based on the fact that you have a fully occupied hotel with an infinite number of rooms. Because the number of rooms is infinite, despite being at full occupancy, the hotel can still accommodate additional occupants. What's more, the hotel can even accommodate an infinite number of additional guests, all the while being at full occupancy.
