I had a lot of fun with this piece even if I was very overwhelmed to have been accepted. There were so many artists and writers I admire and some I am now lucky enough to call friends. This zine and Angela's generosity really changed my life and I appreciate having been given the opportunity to take part.
The small poem-thingy in this is a small thing I wrote randomly one night three years ago that I always wanted to draw something for. The wolf skull went through a lot of iterations as I tried to blend the canid and hominid features as seamlessly as I could while keeping it believable. Which in hindsight I probably didn't need to do lol i might post the process vid cause it is kinda hilariously chaotic. There are a lot of things I love and a lot of things I hate abt this piece but honestly I think there is a poetics in that when it comes to what the theme of this zine is.
