I was tagged by @inkteller who is a lovely, nosey, wonderful person who I think is trying to learn enough about me to steal my soul. Joke’s on her tho, I traded my soul away ages ago! Favourite smell: Pine and spruce needles with an under layer of birch and willow leaves in Autumn with woodsmoke and freshwater drifting by when the breeze picks up. It’s a very distinctive scent.
First job: Cashier at an overpriced gift shop in a strip mall. Had to bike about 2.5 km to get there along a winding, hilly road from the cottage where I was staying in the summer. Rainy days were fun.
Zodiac: Capricorn - I am the Goat-Fish
Favourite pizza: Canadian, but with back bacon instead of pepperoni.
Favourite dog: Breed-wise I have no preference. My Granny’s last dog before she died was an unsuccessful breeding Border Collie named Charm - perfect markings, the sweetest temperament, couldn’t give birth. Granny saved her from being put down and took her out to her cabin where Charm -who’d been raised and lived all her life in a kennel- could run and play and sniff and chase rabbits to her heart’s contentment. Loved her so much. After Granny died, Charm would hardly do anything but lie by the door waiting for Granny to come home. She also died soon after, and was buried out at the cabin.
Favourite foot attire: Barefoot if I can get away with it, or some good tough boots if not.
Favourite roller coaster: There was an older wooden coaster as Valley Fair in Minnesota, thing sounded like it would rattle apart. Intense, but it wasn’t about to give me whiplash.
Favourite candy: I love sugar, I love gummies, I love mint chocolate, I love caramel. Can’t just pick one.
Favourite ice cream: Vanilla with chocolate fudge and peanut butter swirl and/or key lime sorbet.
Pet peeves: Chewing with your mouth open/loudly, reading aloud in public, stopping in the middle of a hallway and blocking the way. Mostly, little thoughtless rudeness.
What are you listening to: Dogs barking while someone in the neighborhood wails somewhat proficiently and plays a guitar.
Colour of your vehicle: I don’t drive, so whatever colour the public busses are.
Colour of your eyes: A dull green that I call blue just so I won’t have people leaning in and staring deeply into my eyes to confirm that they’re not actually blue.
Favourite holiday: Nov. 11, Remembrance Day
Night owl/day person: Very much a night owl. That is, when I do sleep.
Favourite day of the week: Wednesday is nice.
Tattoos: I’d like to get one, but I haven’t found the right design yet.
Like to cook: Not really. All the standing gets to my knees something awful.
Beer/wine/neither: I don’t drink alcohol.
Do you like vegetables: Broccoli, cauliflower and spinach the most.
Do you wear glasses: I don’t need them yet, but I probably will within a decade. It does make me look like a librarian, so at least I know I’ll look cool in the future.
Favourite season: If my favorite smell didn’t give it away, Autumn. The harvest, the temperature is right in my comfort range, I can wear all my favorite clothes. And that’s it! I suppose I’ll tag @pyromantic-girl, @pacificfunk, @brantoast and... shit, there was someone else... Eh, and I tag whoever I forgot!
