bran, i think jojen would get pretty overwhelmed by a grocery store without meera or bran with him

kills the spiders

jojen loves spidies they're his friends. but he also if there are dead spidies he keeps em in a little glass bottle

comes home drunk at 3am

neither of them they dont go Out for drinking they stay in and have meera there with them

makes breakfast

jojen doesnt usually use the stove when there arent any other people awake. he's not a bad cook! but his attention span isn't great and he zones out a lot, and he tends to need someone to remind him that he's cooking. bran doesn't like to cook, i think, would rather just have cereal. when meera stays over--which is often--she cooks for them. 

remembers to feed the fish

bran. 

decorates the apartment

sort of both of them... i mean jojen has his weird dead shit and bran has a lot of cheesy horror posters and things. i don't know how much Decorating they really do. 

initiates duets

hmmm i could see jojen singing sometimes, tonelessly, but bran wouldn't join in i don't think he'd just want to listen

falls asleep first

sam has very neat very organized lists and jon picks em up

nobody, there is no spider-killing. spiders are carefully picked up and escorted to a safer place

comes home drunk at 3am

more likely jon just on account of robb. and most of sam and jon's friends are mutual so other times it would be them drinking with friends

makes breakfast

sam, jon doesnt wake up until the second pot of coffee

remembers to feed the fish

sam or if he forgets and isnt home he texts jon to do it

decorates the apartment

sam, if jon had his way there'd be nothing at all on the walls and everything would be painted dark. and jon wouldnt actually like that but he's not really aware that that's not an environment he Likes so much as he tends to keep himself contained and he likes black, but black isn't really the kind of color you want too mcuh of on the walls because it gets... unpleasant it's just Too Dark for a room to be. he doesn't like those things for living spaces those are just kind of habits that don't translate well. sam likes to organize things though and asks jon's opinion but jon is pretty cool with whatever. he's significantly less moody in a well lit, nicely colored room but he doesn't really notice that

initiates duets

ssaaaammmm jon doesn't sing. if coaxed jon will get out his guitar or his bass guitar though.

ezra made a short post about this yesterday but i wanted to talk more in depth about bran and jojen meeting in a modern au

first of all the reeds and the starks are family friends so the stark kids are introduced to the reed kids at some Gathering or another, but bran was like 6 and he wasn't paying attention and he scampered off pretty early to go climb stuff. and then the reeds moved away for like 8 years. and then they move back in near the starks, you could say they're neighbors sort of since they're the closest people to them, but like, they're still like a half a mile away, because the starks's house is like in the middle of nowhere and surrounded by woods. 

and like bran's in the backyard where they've put in like a concrete/blacktop kind of area for him to wheel around in and he's kind of aimlessly doing that this one night at like twilight and then suddenly there's a boy at the edge of the woods, who looks exactly like peter pan except in a cardigan and old man shoes? anyway they both look at each other for a minute and then jojen says like "there you are" 

and bran's like "??? this is my house" and then, after a minute, he's like "also, who are you" 

which jojen doesn't actually answer, he just like, kneels adn holds out his wrist for summer to sniff until summer is like !!! friend!!!! friend!!!! 

and like bran doesn't recognize him cause he was six when they met but he thinks he looks kind of familiar, and jojen kind of looks at bran with his weird faery face and is like "i went walking in the woods. i didn't know where iw as going, but i wound up here, because i was supposed to be here. i was supposed to meet you"

which, alright, this is because what happened was, jojen kind of wandered off through the woods for a while, and he didn't mean to get to the starks's backyard but when he gets there and sees bran he's like, yeah, yeah this is where i was supposed to be. jojen has a scary amount of faith in the universe to get him where he's supposed to be

and bran's kind of like "okay, weird guy," but also hes also kind of like "omg". he's like half convinced hes dreaming and half convinced he met a goddamn fairy in a cardigan and old man shoes

and like at some poitn jojen addresses him as "bran stark" and bran's like ????? i didnt introduce myself to you (like legit bran's just referring to jojen as "peter pan" in his head this whole time since jojen hasnt introduced himself either) and jojen just says something weird and mystical like "i remembered you" and bran's like "....alright" 

and then brans just like WELL so it's getting dark i should probably, go inside, or whatever, and jojen jsut like vanishes back into the woods

bran literally thinks he met a fairy until he sees jojen at school like a week later

Branjen fic????

I wrote a branjen or brojen or whatever you call them fic so yeah (this is my first time writing one most facts are wrong & I know I'm shit but what can I say it had to be done)

"Do you want to try again? I do realize I'm pushing you so hard Bran, I'm sorry. But it's good for both of us." 

"Yes, I understand."

I can't explain how it happens but as soon as I close my eyes and think of him I'm in his head. I'm standing on my feet and I am aware of all my senses. This time, we're near a lake and it looks like it's very early in the morning.

"Have you ever been here before, Jojen?" 

"I can't remember, it's beautiful...it makes me feel warm." 

"How long do you think we could hold the connection this time?" 

"You're getting better, let's try our best."  

Jojen sits a little bit father from the water and I start giddily circling him. 

"I miss it. I miss being able to walk, I want to enjoy it as much as I possibly can." 

After a while I start feeling dizzy, Jojen notices so he pulls me down on top of him. 

"Start getting yourself dizzy and we'll lose the connection." 

He laughs as he helps me sit up, I am so close to him that I can feel the heat radiating off his body. 

"I know you'd rather stay here forever but I'm getting tired, we need to break it off before I get one of my episodes, I don't want to worry Meera." 

I can feel the connection starting to fade but I still have a lot left to say to him. 

"Jojen." 

"Yes?" 

"I need y-"

The connection breaks and we're back in the cold again. I can't see Meera anywhere but Jojen's right beside me. He does look very tired indeed and there's a hesitant look on his face.

"I'm sorry bran, that was very exhausting but what were you about to say?" 

"I can't remember, I'm really tired too, let's call it a day." 

"Bran."

Before I had time to comprehend it, Jojen's lips were on mine. Rough and chapped from the wind but warm on the inside. I could feel the heat overwhelming my body as he held me by the waist and got on top of me. His kisses were urgent and full of wanting. He leaned closer on me and started tracing kisses down my jawline and neck. I couldn't help but moan his name as I brought my hand up and tangled my fingers with his hair. After what felt like forever of moaning each other's names and ragged breaths Jojen stopped and locked his eyes with mine.

"I need you too Bran. I need you. You're the only thing that matters. I need-"

I cut him off by pulling him back and kissing him more urgently than I did the first time. I haven't felt this good in a very long time, having him this close to me. I wanted to bring him closer, closer until I could feel his body connected to me as his mind had been.

We finally broke apart and then sat in each other's embrace for a while, not saying anything. Just looking at each other. I've never realized how beautiful his eyes were. They were full of hunger as he brought them down to my lips then back to my eyes again.

"Find another way to keep each other warm I see?" Said Meera as she made her way to the fire that has already been started and dropped more wood.

"Meera, when do we get moving again? How further have you gone this time?" 

"We will travel after we all get our night's sleep. Don't tire yourself young lord, drift off now."

Meera sat ahead and faced the trees so her back was to us. I don't think she noticed anything unfamiliar but I appreciated her not intruding. Jojen laughed and intertwined his fingers with mine and like that, we slept.
