Mutual (Brarvey) Part3
It’s been two weeks since Jack found out about Brooklyn’s crush on Harvey and so far, he’s stayed true to his word and kept the secret. Brooklyn decided to bring all the boys to the pub and bought all of Jack’s drinks to repay him for being such a good friend. They were all having such a good time, dancing around and acting stupid.
Jack pulled Brooklyn aside and they stumbled to the bathroom.
“Brooklyn, are you paying for my drinks on purpose?” Jack giggled.
“Yeah, you’ve kept my secret. Your drinks are on me tonight.”
“Wow..thanks, Brook,” Jack smiled before moving toward Brooklyn and in his drunken state, grabbed Brooklyn’s face and kissed him really sloppily on the lips. Brooklyn was shocked. That was not what was supposed to happen. Jack quickly sobered up as he realized what he’d done and turned around and walked out without saying a word, leaving Brooklyn there stunned.
After a few minutes of collecting himself, Brooklyn walked out too. He bought himself another beer and began chugging it down. When he pulled up for air, he looked around and didn’t see Harvey. Where did he go? Whatever, he probably went to the bathroom after he saw it was empty. Brooklyn continued to drink he pint and Rye came wobbling up to Brook.
“Hey, have you seen Harvey? He just disappeared,” he slurred.
“Nope, I haven’t seen him.” Brooklyn answered.
Now, he was starting to get worried as it was clear that no one else knew where he was.
“Do you want to go try to find him?” Rye asked.
Brooklyn nodded and they walked out of the pub together and began searching all around the building before they heard a faint cry. They looked at each other and ran in the direction of the noise. They found him. There in a major drunken state behind some bushes, crying. Brooklyn’s heart twinged as he saw his favorite boy’s tears.
“Harv?” Rye began. “What’s wrong, buddy?”
Harvey stared at Brooklyn with a hurt expression as if he were the one guilty of making the boy cry.
Rye looked at Brooklyn as realization hit him. See, you know how Jack had kept Brooklyn’s secret? Well, that’s exactly what Rye did, but for Harvey.
Right as everyone found out about Brooklyn’s abusive relationship, Harvey was found, by Rye, in their room, pacing the bedroom with angered tears streaming down his face. When Harvey saw he had been caught by Rye, he just decided to spill everything to Rye and make him promise not to tell anyone. And that’s just what he did.
So, as Harvey stood there, staring at Brooklyn like he was a monster, Rye figured something had to have happened.
Before he said anything, he helped Harvey up from the ground and hugged him tight as he felt the boy physically relax in his arms as Brooklyn stood there confused, and for some unknown reason, guilty.
As soon as Harvey’s voice was steady enough to form a sentence, Rye started with his questions.
“What happened, buddy? Did you see something you shouldn’t have?” Rye asked, looking at Brooklyn with a blank expression. Rye knew Brooklyn had no idea about Harvey’s crush so he really couldn’t be mad at him, but seeing his close friend and considered brother crying, made Rye feel some kind of way. Not really angry at Brooklyn, but just a little irritated as he could not have picked a worse time to do something stupid with some girl/guy in a club.
In a still shaky voice, he pointed to Brooklyn, “H-he w-was kissing...” he began before breaking out into a sob again. Brooklyn suddenly realized what he was talking about. He hadn’t closed the door all the way when Jack had pulled him into the bathroom and he obviously saw through the crack of the door. He felt horrible until something else occurred to him: Why was Harvey so bent out of shape over it? It’s not like he-wait....
His eyes widened as he looked at Harvey. He ran to the two hugging boys and grabbed Harvey’s body from Rye and hugged him as tight as possible.
“Br-Brook,” Harvey wimpered.
Brooklyn loosened his grip a little bit and looked at him in the eyes.
“It wasn’t what you think. I told Jack a secret of mine a couple weeks ago and he’s kept it so well that I told him I would buy his drinks tonight and he kissed me as a thank you, I guess, he was pretty drunk and so was I. I had no idea you saw that...or that you even liked me the way you do. I’m so sorry,” he explained everything.
Harvey looked in Brooklyn’s deep green eyes, “You really don’t have feelings for Jack?”
Brooklyn smiled, shaking his head, “Ya know why?”
“Why?” Harvey asked.
Brooklyn leaned down next to his ear and whispered, “Because I love you.”
A gasp left Harvey’s mouth, “Really?”
“Definitely,” Brooklyn confirmed before grabbing the younger boy’s face and giving him the most passionate kiss he could muster up. Harvey immediately kissed back, moving his arms around Brooklyn’s neck, pulling him even closer. As soon as Brooklyn pulled away, Harvey looked him straight in the eyes, “I love you, too, Brooklyn.”
A/N: So this is the last chapter of the Brarvey series (I know *cries*). If you would like to see more of this ship, let me know! I loved writing it :) Hope you enjoyed it as much as I have! ~Halli xx
