     … Marco -- regardless of ... his status now, he's still a close friend.  Reiner, and Jean.  I’d like to say Annie is up there, too, and she’d probably actually be first place, but since I don’t know how she feels about me, exactly, I’m gonna disclude her from this …

          Reiner.  I have trouble sleeping ... a lot.  When we were back in training, we had beds kinda nearby, and if he noticed i was still awake late in the night, he'd talk to me.  About literally anything and everything.  Even if it was the absolute stupidest shit, we'd talk about it.  The dinners, the way someone tripped on their face during training, girls, our home life ...  one time he told me about a squirrel he saw.  ( He said he was talking to it because he thought it'd run off, but it jumped on his shoulder and scared the shit out of him, haha! )          Even now that we don't share the bunkers since I usually have to sleep down in the DUNGEON ( Reiner, it's a dungeon, get over it ), we still talk about stupid things like that.  ... Apparently we can talk about kissing other guys and he isn't uncomfortable about it.  That's the kinda guy you want as a best friend, you know?  ... He's one of those people that got close to me really quick, and he means a lot to me, now ...  I wonder if he's interested in seeing the ocean someday, too ...  It'd be cool to show him after all of this is over.

          Jean.  ... I don't know if I can really call him a friend, but I ...  I dunno, I think of him as one when it comes down to things like this anyway.  He might not put a lot of effort forth openly about it, and I don't really, either, but it's kind of there in the underlying ... uh.  Whatever, it's there.  It's in the little comments sometimes, or when we're too tired to move.  We lay there and we don't talk much, but whatever we do say, it's usually not an insult, so much as just ...  you know, normal nattering about dumb stuff.          ... I guess I value his company because, even if he doesn't know it, he motivates me a lot.  Marco said I really rallied everyone else up, but ...  I feel like these days, it's kind of him doing the same for me.  He's the one who told me ... to make every death on my hands count, that one night.  I think that's when I really started to respect anything he has to say.  ... I guess I take a lot of things he says to heart now, good and bad.  -- ... I kind of got off track with this one, huh.          ... Whatever.  Long story short, I really admire him despite how much we fight, and he says things sometimes that are really a big deal to me, so I consider him a friend.
