Show me your floats!
Despite the quality of the yarn, I’m happier with the texture now that I’m using the Wine as the main color.
And DAAAAAAAYUM look at those floats <3
This isn’t my first time doing stranded work, but this IS the biggest project I’ve used it for, and for that... I had to make sure I was catching right as well as holding the yarn correctly.
It made it INFINITELY easier. For reference, I looked up a few videos on YouTube, and this one (from Nancy Wynn) was the most straight forward, helpful, and also similar weight to what I was working with. This was really only important because of how much area a catch looks every 3 stitches with bulky vs sock weight. The meat of the video really starts after 6 minutes, so feel free to skip ahead.
I actually tried catching ever 2 stitches, but due to the way the chart works, It was much messier than just catching every 3 over a 6 stitch float, and every 2 over a 4 stitch float.
I really can’t wait to wear this. It’s going to be RIDICULOUSLY warm.
