I've been translating a few old phildar patterns(personal use)

I've made it through 4 hats and a scarf.

The beginning of this pattern is stumping me. And I don't know if it's nuances of French knitting, or me not knowing enough about knitting in English to understand. (I understand the stockinette and seed/moss stitch terms. And that it's some kind of shaping. But I'm lost on specifics.)

I have been busy creating and neglecting the social media accounts in the process.

Now catching up and making a start with sharing one of the recent weekly swatches - producing this swatch of the Cascading Leaves Knit Stitch is a return to traditional, dainty lace knitting.

This stitch is worked on a multiple of 10 plus 1 stitches over 16 rows. All wrong side rows are purled throughout, allowing for a modicum of relaxation working this stitch.

After about five months, I picked up my Neon shawl again to finally knit the edge. If everything goes well, I "only" have 19 more tips to knit in each color ... I wanted to show you my first knitting attempt!

I didn't even know how to loop, I learned everything from youtube ahahaha.

I'm making a garter pattern (I'm not sure if it's called a garter, it's called "harasho/haraşo" in Turkish, and it's always knitted using a uniform for example, only plain or reverse knit)
