Chat I wanna tell you something that is very important to me.
When I was a kid I played this fantastic game called Brave Frontier. It was a mobile turn based jrpg with adorable graphics and immensely satisfying gameplay. I loved the sound design and the enemies and especially the music.
Unfortunately the game was shut down a few years ago and now it's basically lost media. You can't play it anymore. When I tried to look it up a few months ago I was very sad to find this out.
But then I found something absolutely incredible. Something I've never seen before. Some people actually sat down and decided to faithfully recreate the game using some of the files they were able to retrieve. They post updates regularly on their YouTube channel:

This is fucking insane. The amount of work and dedication put into this passion project is so inspiring. If you have any interest in game development at all, you'll find their YouTube channel at least a little interesting even if you're not a passionate enjoyer of the game itself. They're not just reviving the game, they're fixing some of the glitches and oversights it originally had, which is absolutely WILD to me. That's an actual dream scenario.
Whenever they meet their follower goals they add cute little victory animations to the characters!!! That's so cool??? I want this project to become fucking massive. These people are actually making history. If this comes to fruition I truly believe this game might become huge. And when it does I wanna be able to say that I was here for it!!
