Things might not be the best in Asteria at the moment, but Alex knew that he should be grateful that things weren’t a lot worse. After all, Niko was awake and everything would hopefully return to normal. Well, as normal as things could get at this point. Alex wasn’t sure what the new normal was going to be going forward. Thankfully he had plenty to do to keep his mind occupied. When he wasn’t working he had someone to visit or talk to since Cass was busy taking care of Niko. Brayden and Alex had gotten closer after talking in the hospital when Alex had been there more. Now that Brayden was out of the hospital and recovering, Alex had no reason not to visit him if he was alright with the company. A break from working at the stables was necessary after all. Alex sat down with his beer on the chair across from Brayden. “So, everything been goin’ good now that you’re back home? I know I’d hate being stuck in there 24/7.” When Cass had been in the hospital he had been there most of the time, but ultimately he had been able to go back home and sleep in a much more comfortable bed, not to mention everything else that she had had to recover from.
