Still thinking about that one time a big stag beetle gained sentience in my presence.
I was outside and saw this Stag beetle stroll along the dirt towards me.
He was walking slow and lazy, like a normal bug.
And then he saw me. And like - I KNOW this sounds weird. But being perceived by an insect feels insane.
Because he SAW me.
He literally looked up - all lazily at first, saw me looking at him, froze like a deer in the headlights, and then BOOKED it backwards.
Like. I have never felt an insect perceive me like that ever. It was so surreal.

Hear me out, LQG wakes up in SQQ’s body, which, he’s understandably confused about as SQQ is married to LBH speaking of, SY wakes up in LBH’s body, but then that leaves the question-
Where is binghe?
Liu Qingge woke up and knew that something was deeply wrong. For one, his hair was out of its usual sleeping braid, for two, it was FAR too quiet. And lastly, (most importantly) he wasn't in his bed!
The situation is immediately made worse when he hears a deep, rumbling snore from his left. He snapped his eyes open. And was met with a face full of slumbering heavenly demon lord.
He threw himself off the bed with a startled shout, immediately getting tangled in the copious blankets he was wrapped in. The snores cut off into a grumbling yawn.
"Binghe?" the demon himself sat up, eyes squinting and rumpled from sleep. "What..." He yawned widely, showing off a truly impressive pair of fangs.
"What has you up so...." He trailed off finally looking over at the frozen Qingge on the floor.
"...what the fuck?"
Lui Qingge scowled fiercly. "explain yourself beast!!" He spat and watched as the color drained from Binghe's face.
"...no, wait, shen Qingqi?" He asked, pale. Liu qingge scowled harder, finally drawing himself upright
"No. Why would you think-" and then he caught a glimpse of himself in the mirror... or rather, shen qingqi.
They have a whole freak out moment, cause shen yuan thinks that SJ just came back from the dead untill he realizes "Oh wait that's lqg,....wait who am I then?... WAIT WHERES MY HUSBAND?!?!??!"
They go to Bai Zhan peak looking for Qingge's body, only to find that it apparently got up in what looked like a blind rage, grabbed a sword and stormed off peak like a rampaging bull.
'Ah,' thinks SY. 'That's where binghe went.' They go to get help, I think SY absolutely takes the opportunity to scare the absolute STUFFING out of SQH.
SY binghe: *growling and being a horrifying demon* "your time is up author- how dare you write me this way you hack!"
And then they get MBJ to help look through the demon realms cause binghe isn't on either peak and SY dosent really know where else he'd go, they also presumably get YQY on the search and by default the other peak lords... but that's a last resort as neither SY or LQG want this like.. known.
But try as they might, binghe is unfound and... shen yuan is getting worried. Like actually worried!
At first: 'oh, he's the protagonist he'll be ok'
To: 'binghe??? My precious husband???? Alone??? Without his kisses?!??!? Unacceptable!!!'
Qingge meanwhile is going through perhaps every stage of grief and inventing a few new ones! I headcannon he has a crush on SY, but only like... surface level SY, like post Canon he starts being more himself and the feelings fade for LQG, he deeply values their friendship but at most wants a QPR now.
But he's content being SY's tsundere bestie! But now he's stuck in his body and feeling very.... uncomfy! Also later he finds that whatever caused the body switch is a soul mates thing and he bluescreens because that means he, sy, and BINGHE?! (In my au of this au he's thrilled at this!
However in this au... he's not thrilled, like, he's not horribly opposed but also, not really enthusiastic) sy mentions perhaps platonic soul mates and that eases him significantly
