hiiiii everyone, it's breadestbowl!!! i just wanted to say thank you to everyone who i spoke to in the last few days, it really made me happy to see yalls treasures completed or the goats yall put the ads on, i wish i could've taken screenshots of them all before the plug was pulled. but not having the screenshots is okay, i'm keeping the bittersweet memory of this close, since yall made my time on goatlings really, really wonderful, outweighing the bad apples and the unfortunate end with the kindness returned. i genuinely didn't expected so many to go out of their way to help me achieve my goatlings dreams because of my gift giving, i think maybe some of the asks here made me worried that what i wanted to do would be seen as having ulterior motives or just hoping for something in return. sending gifts no matter if the people i gave things to reacted in any way, it helped me cope with the inevitability of this amazing community disappearing. so i'm really so, so thankful for all the kind words i was sent and the dream goals + collection items i was given (though we can all pretend i managed to get 2k freshly baked bread in the end since SOMEONE TOOK THE SITE DOWN EARLY /j)
i wish i could have given more, there was still so much i had in my inventory that i wanted to send. it makes me feel like i didn't try hard enough to return the kindness the community has given me before, even though the site was taken down before i could get to the rest of it. i hate that kris made it so hard to connect to everyone onsite but i hope what i did manage to gift helped some of yall smile. so in my heart i am sending EVERYONE their dream goals, you got it now!!! you did it!! please, if you still want to keep the memory of the good part of goatlings with you, make that dream ad of yours into an oc to love through the years, or make something to represent that item you were really hoping to get! its free real estate /ref and to those who want to leave the memory of goatlings in the past, i hope it doesn't linger too long, and that you can move on to new, better interests for you.
i also wanted to give a shoutout to user silkysheep, for gifting me a quilt ghost rad randomly when i had first joined, it meant so much to me as a new player, and was what inspired me to send gifts more frequently than just holding on to things for trades. i hope only good comes to them, even if they'll never see this. and to the ex staff, thank you for being such a big part of the community, your involvement was one of the main points of the sites charm for me. seeing yall as fellow members and not just staff was what helped create such a comfortable space, i'm sorry kris didn't see that. here's to yall getting better opportunities in the future, and for krisgoat getting what's deserved for taking advantage of yalls effort on the site.
