This rich croissant bread pudding parfait will take you back to the flavors of Louisiana. A delicious dessert that tastes like Southern comfort is made with layers of creamy bread pudding, whipped cream, and caramel sauce.
Ingredients: 4 large croissants, torn into small pieces. 2 cups whole milk. 1 cup heavy cream. 4 large eggs. 1 cup granulated sugar. 1 tablespoon vanilla extract. 1/2 cup raisins. 1/2 cup chopped pecans. 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted. Whipped cream for topping. Caramel sauce for drizzling.
Instructions: Set the oven to 350F 175C and heat it up. Tear up croissants and mix them with milk and heavy cream in a large bowl. Soak it for ten minutes. Whisk the eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract together in a different bowl until they are well mixed. Pour the egg mix into the croissant mix and mix it well. Add the chopped pecans and raisins and mix them in. Melt some butter and put it in the bottom of a baking dish. Fill the dish with the croissant mixture. Put it in the oven for 45 to 50 minutes, or until the top is brown and the middle is set. Let the bread pudding cool down a bit before putting the parfaits together. Put the bread pudding and whipped cream in glasses or bowls that will be used for serving. Cover each layer with caramel sauce. Put more layers on top of each other until the glasses are full.
