death is everywhere. it is in the future. it is in the past. it is here and now. you are afraid to touch because you are afraid of what you might see. afraid of fleeting touches and concerned stares as you choke on your words and fight to catch your breath, of when they ask if you're alright and you try to nod your head 'yes' because you don't know how to to tell them that you just watched them die.
