Holding On
It’s been awhile since I’ve posted, but I’ve been feeling rather creative and decided to share again. For awhile now, I’ve just been jotting things down in phone’s notes and not sharing simply trying not to broadcast so much of my business. So here goes.
I find myself reaching, grasping, trying to hold onto these precious moments that I will never be able to get back, but will forever cherish in my memory. For example, Kyler has started becoming more independent. He most certainly acquired that trait from Mommy. He’s always had a strong neck, but his back and neck muscles are becoming more developed so he no longer wants to lay his head on my chest and find comfort. He’s busying himself by searching the new world around him. This morning while nursing him, it hit me that my precious gift was growing too fast. I cried. I grabbed his little hand so he could hold my finger and I wept. Kyler Jordan is my greatest accomplishment ever if life. Before him, I thought it was going to college, graduating college, moving to Philadelphia alone and surviving, paying off my car, but none of those hold the value of birthing this beautiful baby boy. Often times while nursing him I’m catching up on the latest happenings on Facebook, or responding to text messages. However lately, I’ve just tried to bask in the moment of him.
Mommy loves you Ky.
