A nice boy after a good shed.
He honestly looks pretty drab and brown most of the time, but you get him under sunlight and he starts to glow.

Todays Snake Is:
The Centralian Carpet Python or Bredl’s Python (Morelia bredli) is a constrictor endemic to Northern Territory, Australia. At one time considered a regional variant or subspecies of the more common Carpet Python (Morelia spilota), this animal was first recognized as its own species in 1981. It has a relatively small range, found only in the heart of the country in rocky outcrops and scrub bush.

Tried to catch some natural lighting this morning, still couldn't catch his iridescence.

I CAN HELP! Inland Reptiles is the place to go for US Breli. He’s got a clutch of normals every year. Looks like they’re all sold out now but they’ll be back.
Australian Addiction is another US breeder. Website is pretty out of date, but they’re facebook page is fairly active. Nevermind. Apparently this breeder went seeeriously down hill.
Honestly the Carpet Python Classified Page on facebook often as a lot of sales. Saw a pair posted for sale yesterday.
mister-hisser said: Another reason why bredli's are unpopular is probably the price tag. I saw a pair up for $750 recently and it's the first time I'd ever heard of them
That’s pretty expensive. Those must have been adults or a proven breeding pair. Usually a normal Bredli hatchling will cost around $200 USD. I’ve seen genetic stripes at $250. They’re not cheap, but they’re certainly not break-the-bank-for-the-dream-snake. (Usually uncommon-but-not-rare snake species are in the $200-$500 ball park anyway.)
Yolo is the most autumn-themed snake I’ve ever seen in my life. I mean, look at this shit. Absolutely ridiculous.
He’s also, hands down, the easiest snake in the world to photograph. Nothing phases him to the point that you can pretty much pose him however you want. It’s hilarious. God damn i love Bredl’s pythons.
