Nile crocodile at Busch Gardens
Gorgo, my Salmon Pink Birdeater molted 😁
We’ve spotted this giant skink on the side of our house, and chilling on the patio in the late afternoon.
Garage lizard down near Tampa.
Can you find the two lizards in this photo?
What are they?
Petrie getting his sip on
This Bird-voiced Treefrog (Hyla avivoca) was chilling on our patio window sill.
Posting it up this am and about to move in on breakfast.
How old is Frank?
Frank just turned five years-old this month!
Gorgeous black racer found out and soaking up the spring sun.
Found this Crowned Snake thanks to its bright orange belly. They are quite common in this area and love hanging out in the thick pine needle debris that blankets the forest floor.
A Dusky Salamander(?) we found while doing yardwork.
Gorgo decided to stuff all three Thanksgiving crickets in her fangs. She hongry
Gorgo decided to hang out on the side of the glass today, and I’m more positive now that she is in fact, a she.
Baby frog out in our woods
Find the frog!
This guy hangs around our back patio and side door, and is easily recognizable by his crooked tail. Here he’s warming himself on the side of the house, currently about 50F outside.
It is a fence lizard, but it’s a female! Females have a distinct chevron dorsal pattern. Makes have a less defined pattern and a blue venter!
That’s cool to know! Thanks for the info!
