i'm looking for a group of 25 - 27 year olds for rts.
i'm not posting an official request about it, because too often i find that people dnw my plots after they pick them up and they ditch me :c but i'm wanting to officially get the lewis plot #2 street story going underway. for those of you who don't know about it, it's right here:
romance is important to the 23 to 29 age group of lewis drive. after all, divorce rates on lewis are about 75% lower than the other three streets, so that must mean something. but christmas is right around the corner, and that means something to the lovers of lewis drive. see, every year lewis drive hosts the extravagant happy valley christmas block party. it’s the biggest party of the year, and no one misses it. no one. and, every year since happy valley was established, some young couple has gotten very romantically engaged. each year it’s bigger and better and more surprising than the last, and the anticipation of it sends people into hysterics the months leading into christmas. girls with boyfriends begin to search— secretly, of course— for hidden rings or scribbled speeches or dialed phone calls to jewelry stores. meanwhile, their boyfriends— those of whom have no intention of proposing whatsoever— frantically try to find an excuse to not be at the party since the entire night will be awkward as sin if they don’t go down on one knee. the anticipation of the tension alone is almost enough to convince them to buy a ring. those who are not in a relationship find the ~romantic times lonely more often than not. nothing’s a more constant reminder of how single you are than mom and dad gushing over last year’s engagees, right? and you know what they say: nothing brings out the lonely, desperate needs of single people quite like the christmas season. after the block party, the tension is almost worse than ever: an engagement party will begin to be planned by one couple while all of the others on the block face breaking up when once-hopeful girlfriends realize that they weren’t the lucky girl to get proposed to. talk about awkward.
so the story is pretty simple. this group of about 12 characters (half female, half male) have basically been together their entire lifes. think about how everyone sleeps/dates all of their friends on glee or skins or degrassi. that's this group of kids. they've had overdramatic pasts (think of their pasts almost as spoofing all of those shows) together, and there's a bunch of drama. but, for the time being, it seems like they've all paired off with the ~one.
only not really. almost all of the couples have at least one (if not both) people in the relationship pining after another member of their group. but no one wants to admit it. they're all too proud in their own way.
after one of the boys-- jealous now that he knows his girlfriend has been sleeping with another one of the guys-- challenges all of the guys of the group to race to be the couple that proposes, things get seriously fucked up.
