what bothers me most is that lewis has never got to truly enjoy racing in f1 without Something being a problem or setback or a dig at his personality or achievements etc. like he hit the ground running immediately as the best rookie the sport has ever seen yet his life was made a living hell in the way he was treated, then he enters his dominant years but everyone diminishes his skill to the car he literally earned and the team ethic he helped built, he achieves his 7th title making him the statistical best only for everyone preach how it's not as great of an achievement since it's already been done before, then 2021 happens, and now he's at the tail end of his career he still isn't allowed to enjoy racing even when he isn't consistently winning, because two different teams have treated him like he's anybody other than exactly who he is. they've fostered an environment that allows people to disrespect him because they barely support him, trying sooo bad to rewrite everything he's achieved in the last 2 decades and how much change he's implemented. like... he loves racing and he's always loved it but it's never been made easy for him. you would think of all people his own team would want it to be easy for him ? i literally don't understand how he enjoys it.

weird unrelated jatp comment, but you know what I've noticed about kid shows these days? They talk down to its audience a lot. Like I started watching the new barbie movie on Netflix yes I'm 22. and I couldn’t finish it because it talked down so much. Like they literally go “here’s the thematic arc literally laid out for you in a song Barbie wrote”.

 So I then went to YouTube to watch barbie swan lake bc that’s a fucking classic and I realized how much it doesn't do that. Sure, in the beginning, Barbie always has a story to tell Kelly (or whatever her name is in the movie) to make her feel better or inspire her, but that’s pretty much the last time we hear that sort of dialogue. Everything is said with the character’s actions. And, not only that, but they don't water down the language. Daniel literally says “obliged” one time...and you know what? I never even noticed as a kid but it didn’t distract me from the main message of the movie. Love can conquer evil. 

tl;dr kid content in this day and age talks down to the audience too much. I know I’m 22 and not the target audience, but it’s people older than me who are writing the script to these movies so.

After an entire week of fighting, screaming, and trying out a million recipe but refusing to eat anything other than chocolate chip cookies and french fries, I finally got my kid to eat something I made on the first try and she ate two whole servings. This is what happiness feels like.

I made dinner earlier, and I went to sit down at the table. We have these really heavy chairs, and I usually have to lift the chair with my left hand, while scooting forward. My hand slipped off of the fabric, and it hit the lip of the table with so much force. I couldn’t even silently cry. It was so painful. Nothing is broken or anything, but it’s so swollen. My hand is going numb. It’s already bruised. I’m such a klutz. And I can’t handle any little extra pain anymore. I feel like such a big baby. In the past I would have just held my arm and silently cried until the pain eased. Now, I cry out over anything. Bumping into things makes me yelp. Blah. I feel so fragile and I hate it.
