So I finished Live and Let Chai by @breebakerbooks aka @julieannelindsey and I am ordering all the books 8n this series! I fell in love with Miss Everly Swan, her aunt's, Detective Meanie better known as Grady Hays, and the island of Charm! Everly Swan has just opened up her iced tea shop Sun, Sand, and Tea and it's going well except for Benedict Paine who tried everything to stop Everly from opening her business in her house not to mention everyday he comes in for free tea and complaints but Everly is hoping she and her tea will win him over. So when he turns up dead holding a glass from Everly's business she is suspect #1 and now Everly has decided its up to her to find the real killer before she loses her business, her house and most importantly her life! I really enjoyed this first book in the seaside cafe mystery series. Everly is quirky, inquisitive and impulsive and you can't help but love her, her Aunt Caroline and Fran, and the residents of Charm NC and especially Detective Hays. I had so many favorite scenes from this book. I highly recommend this series. If I had one teeny, tiny problem is the one I have with most cozies and that is her obsession with her weight. I didn't appreciate the line in the book "for the first time in a long while, I didn't feel plus-sized; I felt curvy and desirable, like Marilyn Monroe or Betty Boop."
