in his first year, everyone thinks that patroclus is absolutely dreadful at quidditch. not only is he muggleborn and doesn’t have the experience, but even after the flying lessons, he’s just absolutely terrible. over the summer, though, he flies a lot with achilles and ends up becoming a reserve chaser for hufflepuff!
patroclus likes to talk to the ghosts. he feels a strange sort of empathy for them, being stuck in between worlds like that (lmao rip me), and has struck up a great friendship with nearly headless nick.
when he’s in his fifth year, he starts pestering madame pomfrey in the infirmary because he wants to become a healer, and wants to learn from her. she eventually gives in and he helps in there for every free period he has.
he has a weird relationship with divination. at first, he thought it was interesting, but when professor trelawney starts predicting a young death for him, he quickly drops the class and takes up arithmancy.
during the second wizarding war, patroclus becomes another body laid to rest in the great hall and another name to add to the list of the fallen. he’d never been the most skilled in defense against the dark arts and dueling in general, but he still wanted to fight for something he believed in.
