It should have been a typical hunt. She got there, she salted, she burned. But, of course, it couldn't have been a typical hunt. Couldn't have been an easy hunt. It never was typical or easy when you were a Winchester.

It started with her arriving at the cemetery just in time to see the grave go up in flames, a blonde having been the one to light the match and finish the job, still facing the flames, back to Deanna.

"Well, guess I should thank you." Deanna declared, walking up beside the girl, woman and dropping her shovel, "You saved me a lot of work." she laughed, glancing over.

The laughter stopped abruptly. "Brenna...no." she muttered instantly, recognizing the hardened face, that hunter's expression and someone who should never have been a hunter. She hadn't seen this girl, this woman, her daughter, in years. She'd left her behind with Liam, leaving them both to a normal life. This certainly was no normal life. "Brenna..." she repeated, stunned and lost.

This shouldn't have happened.
