The Doll, in traditional clothes from the region of Bresse, France.

Tada! It’s finally done! :) I'm pleased with the result!

A while ago, a few people drew the Doll in the traditional clothing of their respective regions.

My friend asked me the other day if i did it already or not. Like i explained in the post below, I didn’t had the chance yet. But now its finally done!

Also funny anecdote on the drawing process: I made the sketch of the body on paper and the rest on procreate. I lost my ruler so I had to buy another one just to be able to draw accurately and to respect the proportions of each body parts XD

I really tried to made a mixt between those types of clothes and the clothes the doll have. (I didn't put the black headdress= a brelot because 1: it would be hell to draw XD and 2: only married women wear that anyway. I think I did a great job designing it?

What's even funnier is that both the doll's clothes and a lot of those French traditional clothes are from the same era! (1800s, and the doll's are more particularly from the 1840s)

So my « region » is what was called a long time ago « La Bresse » in France. This region in red here that is separated between 2 departments now. I come from the southern part. The department NUMBER ONE, L’AIN! (sorry xD our departments each have a number and they are classified in alphabetic order. So… #01!)

France is divided in big administrative regions (left) and smaller ones, the departments (right). (It’s missing the ones from Outre-mer too=Not on the main continent.) To simplify a lot, it’s for a few administratives things like budget for schools, culture, constructions, workroad etc

Each regions and even departments, especially in small villages can have very different traditions and different cultures: different expressions/ words and a long time ago even different languages. Different traditional clothes, different food, different architectures, and they all had their specialities and produced different types of products. (I simplified a lot here for the ones who really aren’t familiar).

All those differences are way less common now in this contemporary times, especially in big cities. But regions are still specialized in particular activities and products. And there’s traces of all of those thanks to many old buildings or even traditions kept by their inhabitants.

(Sorry for the oversimplification, I don’t have time for a full history and geography lesson on a subject I’m not familiar at all with but let me know if you want to know more! If you’re French or even European you probably know what I am talking about xD)

Bruno: Parties always did the musician in, that was a fact. But this time he was lucky enough to crash at Jesse's place, something he'd honestly never get tired of. Bruno enjoyed spending time with the younger athlete. Jesse, out of everyone, knew how to keep Bruno on his toes, spice shit up, was amazing in bed, and also just overall one of the closest people to him. Bruno really thought he knew almost everything about the male, but as he woke up from his slumber to a sweet little girls voice, this was clearly proven to be wrong. It wasn't until this moment that it really hit the popstar that even though he knew of Jesse's daughter, he never actually met her until now. "Hey, munchkin, what's up?" He said to the little girl who had big eyes that lit up the second Bruno engaged a conversation with her. She immediately lifted up her hands to show her little barbie dolls, to which Bruno instantly acted excited about. "That's so cool! What are their names?" He asked, hearing her little babbles fill the room. She really was a little version of Jesse and Bruno couldn't help but think she was the cutest thing as she dropped the dolls on the bed and waddled her way out the bedroom to get her father.
