Hi there, I had a question about the bans currently listed on the app page. While I can understand not wanting explicit/graphic depictions of those themes in bios or personal histories for the sake of others in the group, it seems odd to ban those kinds of backstories outright. They can be mentioned without being graphic, and it feels very limiting to what chars can be brought into the RP to cut them out entirely. Any particular reason behind this?

Hi anon, thank you for the question.

We have a ban on these type of backstories as we already have a number of characters with these in their bios and quite a few of the open characters also have an amount of tragedy in their history.   It was becoming very unrealistic with the number of bios where parents had been killed in horrendous circumstances for example.

We are willing to discuss ideas off anon and may allow some elements but it would be on an individual basis and ensuring that it didn’t have too many similarities to current bios.

How diverse of a group is this when it comes to the characters? I see you're great with racial diversity as well as ages; but are you accepting of LGBT+ characters, characters with disabilities, characters with different religions, etc?

Hello! 

I can safely say that this is an rpg that isn’t just accepting but welcoming of diversity. We love to see it and we love to see it played out on our dash. We love that slice of real life in our fictional universe. The world is a fascinating and diverse place and we want to see our fictional universe reflect the same. We are proud of the diversity that our players bring and would love to see more.

We’re a fun group. If there is a specific plot, background, or connection you are seeking, you are welcome to ask off anon and we’d be happy to help any way that we can.

Honestly, we’re a pretty thirsty group that loves so many faces!! So many.

If you are looking for ideas though, I invite you to check out our wanted connections [tag] or the open canon biographies [masterlist].

I also invite players to add their ideas to this post. 

However, i will say if there is a face that you love, we will love on them too. So I usually suggest people bring the faces and muses that inspire them and not worry if they underused, overused, new, old or somewhere in between. We want you to love roleplaying in Breton. So bring your favs that you love!

That said, players, feel free to quench your thirst in the notes to this post! Just in case our lovely anon wants some suggestions.

I asked about the crime group because it was word for word the same thing. How the Domme and Sub dynamic works and the different stages of craving and all.

Hi there! 

Yes we kept that from our previous group, Fair Verona [here] and if you look at that original rpg blog, you will find the information on that blog predates the crime group. We didn’t make a fuss about it at the time but we believe that the admin were “heavily inspired” by our world building structure.

most needed jobs

There are lots of job opportunities available in the rp.  We could do with members of the Watch (police), fire service, doctors, nurses etc.  We have one construction worker but need pretty much all the other trades such as plumbing, joinery, electricians.  There are no mechanics, teachers, baristas and a whole array of office staff, hotel staff etc available.

A good place to start would be to look at the open bios to see if that sparks any ideas and admin are more than happy to discuss ideas off anon before you submit an app.

What kinds of character occupations would you and your members like to see?

Hello there! Oh goodness, there are always lots of fun options.

In particular, it would be interesting to see members of the Watch (the police force for the Kingdom), journalist/magazine editors, theatre director and/or producer and so forth. Honestly, we are pretty open. If you have an idea, we’d be happy to discuss with you!

If you don’t use discord, just let us know when you join and we’ll make sure to link you whenever there is a discord announcement. It can be slightly more challenging to connect for plotting purposes. However, we have an awesome group that is pretty darn accommodating and I have no doubt they will make you feel welcome!

Yes, that WC is still open.  The blog got tumblr blocked and the mun made a new one which is here.  We just neglected to update his WC. 

Since that is me, I really only have myself to blame!
