And of course the only other man Louise found herself immediately attracted to - Bretth Eureka - happened to be married - to Rosalind Eureka, Louise's boss, no less.
He did turn out to be extremely friendly and a great listener, though, so they did end up chatting over strawberry-almond tarts in the coffee shop. Louise poured out some of her woes to Bretth's sympathetic ear. He was very supportive and suggested that she keep busy for a while so she didn't become too depressed.
There were, he told her, toddler and parent classes at the local daycare (which was free for all residents, no less!) and his daughter Leena was available for baby-sitting in the evening. Not to mention a wide number of classes and organizations starting up around town to help citizens meet their "personal growth" quotas.
The orchestra try-outs in particular sounded rather appealing... It has been quite a while since Louise had taken time out of her rigid schedule to sit down at a piano...
