I had this silly contraption made out of copper tubing that dangled in my hot liquor tank with a DS18 sensor stuck in it. It worked really well but was nothing to look at. So perusing brewers hardware, I found these no-weld thermowells made to fit the type of sensors I use. 22 dollars later, I have a well-fitting sensor that doesn't leak and doesn't look like a coat hanger.

So far, so good. I filled it with water and didn't have any leaks. Both ends have a gasket that sits in a small recess. the sensor fits tightly in there with heat-shrink over it. I haven't run it up to temperature yet but I know the DS18 and the analog thermometer are pretty close. I will let you know if there are any issues.
