My home brewed Bavarian Hefeweizen ale. “Hefeweizen” translating to “wheat with yeast” is a very old, traditional German beer style noted for its use of wheat in addition to malted barley. The type of yeast used to ferment this tangy brew results in a characteristic cloudiness, and exhibits unique flavors like banana and clove. Wheat beers are often served with a citrus garnish to cut these flavors, which I think is bullshit because I think the clove and banana flavors are fantastic, but to each his own... In any event, this is actually my second batch of the season. I love having a Hefeweizen on tap through the summer months. Cheers! Skál! Sláinte! 🍻🍻🍻 ➖ #celtichammerclub #rumcornerbrewery #hefewiezen #wheatbeer #germanbeer #ale #brew #homebrewing #homebrewery #brewingtradition (at Bucks County, Pennsylvania) https://www.instagram.com/p/B1MiTBeDCo9/?igshid=5683atreba4u
