The stage: A wall somewhere in Golden Ward. The piece at hand: a painted rendition of some kind of…monster? The red outline is fairly crude, but somehow makes one think that’s just a choice of style that hides someone with much more varied skills. The main portrait is a contorted face with uneven horns, long fangs, wild eyes, and blue face paint stretching from forehead to chin. Surrounding it seems to be an attempt at blue fire, as well as a mysterious symbol resembling a bird’s head. The artist: Naruto Uzumaki, whose headband has that same symbol etched into its gleaming metal. Though Naruto is covered from head to toe in blotches of spray paint, it’s plain to see he took care to keep the black headband free of stain. It takes him a moment to recognize someone in range–and when he does, Naruto can’t help but beam. This kid would totally be impressed!
“So, whaddya think? It’s pretty great, right!?” he rubs the bridge of his nose, cheeks tinged pink with pride.
