“PATTERNS THAT HAVE SEEMED ETERNAL”

“The figures in these current installations are in a state of struggle. As they attempt to elevate themselves and focus on things above, they end up pushing others down,” says Brian Fee of this 2015 piece on the campus of Fuller Seminary on Oakland Avenue in Pasadena, California. This work is one of three pieces, making up the installation titled “Push.” Each of the three pieces are intentionally placed in somewhat hidden places on campus, where the events depicted emerge unexpectedly. Fee moved to Pasadena after close to 30 years in New York City, 20 of those teaching art and art history to both high school and college students. @fullerseminary @scenesfromthesidewalk
