Today I had the privilege of meeting Michael Culver and listen to him describe the life and work of protester and peace campaigner, Brian Haw, who lived for almost ten years in a peace camp in London's Parliament Square. Haw began his protest against UK and US foreign policy in 2001 and became a symbol of the anti-war movement. He remained in Parliament until just before his death in 2011. His archive of protest material, personal affects and other elements of the peace camp were acquired by the @MuseumofLondon where they are now held in the collection. Culver was invited to respond to some of the objects for an oral history project initiated by @guyatkins, to be launched later in the year. #brianhaw #michaelculver
