alot of people have this dream. they say it's because your subcontious is dealing with a situation where you are feeling embarrassed by something or fear that you are being presented in a negative way to others.

This... hits the nail on the head, actually. I spend an inordinate amount of time wondering and worried about how I'm perceived by other people. :(
