If there was a party, Briar would be there. However, she looked forward to using her assets to get free drinks. It wasn’t her being cheap--- she was just broke. Her costumes were never extravagant and whatever she chose usually let her flaunt off everything. Sawyer got her to agree to something else. It was no sexy cop or nurse, instead just an over the top--cat costume. Fluffy ears, painted on whiskers, and a “onesie”. It was ridiculous. Did she even look like a cat? Briar didn’t think so, but that’s what happened when you agreed to it before seeing it.
Meeting people’s friends or family was never an ideal thing for Briar. Her own family never liked her, so, she knew not many others would enjoy her presence either. Even when she had a phase of dating people, being introduced and hanging out always went awkward. She currently had no job, rarely had a place to stay, and she stole. At this rate, she wouldn’t have been surprised if she’d run into a cop and get arrested. Life just wasn’t kind to her. But, after a bunch of shots and a few sniffs of cocaine, Halloween night started to become more fun. At least it was something to make her boring life a little more exciting. As the man in front of her stood, she took his beer and casually thanked him-- giving a slight smirk. “Thank you.” When he kept on talking, she furrowed her brows for a moment before pointing to herself. “Oh, you’re talking to me? The sexy cat?” She gestured to her incredibly terrible costume. “No, I don’t know who that is, never seen them nor have I ever heard that name before.” Briar teased which was in her nature. “Actually, yeah, yeah, that’s me, The mooching cat that lives with Sawyer. Hi Cohen, I’m Briar.” After a quick swig, she remembered to hold out her hand to shake his.
Briar never knew that Sawyer had a brother. Briar should’ve met him years ago if he looked like this.... he was handsome. “Wait, wait, wait---- she’s got a brother? That’s news to me. I don’t know why she’s never introduced us, but she should have, Mr. I couldn’t decide on a costume so i’m a businessman who loves to jog.” The reference of whatever costume he was wearing went right over her head but it did make her laugh. Well, that was the drugs.
