“I can see you need time to take this in,” Briar said with a smirk. She had just told the other that she had feelings for them. Real feelings, not simply attraction. If she was nervous about what they might say back, she wasn’t showing it. Briar was calm, cool and collected as always.
“Alright, fine, If you’re going to go, I can’t stop you,” Briar said with a defeated shrug. “But if you insist on going, I’m going with you.”
“I’m getting in that taxi with or without you,” Briar said, arching an eyebrow. There was no more time to talk it over, if the other was going to join Briar on her last minute vacation, they would have to go now. “Last chance, we need to leave now.”
“It’s almost sunset, are you ready?” Briar asked with a tilt of her head. She had convinced the other to go with her out of the city to see the stars.
“Alright! Dessert for breakfast!” Briar called as she opened the container of cookies.
“Please sit, why don’t you enjoy a cup of calming jasmine tea?” Briar offered.
“Wait a minute. Are you jealous?” Briar teased. “Is this jealousy I‘m sensing?”
Briar noticed the look in the other’s eye and laughed, shacking her head. “You knew I was filming a western today. Don’t you dare make fun.”
