Phillip studied Miss Featherington as she escorted him out of Lady Bridgerton's home. If he remembered correctly, she was little more than a child when he married Marina. The years had treated her well.
"It truly is a pleasure to see you, Miss Featherington," he spoke.
She gave him a small smile. "You may call me Penelope, Sir Phillip. After all, we are family."
Family. What a concept. Growing up at Romney Hall, family members were scarce. His mother passed early on in childhood, and his father... The less said about the previous baronet was better. His brother, George, was the one constant in his life, and the war stole him away.
"May we call you Aunt Penelope?" Amanda asked. Tea with the Bridgertons seemed to have calmed the children down.
